OVERLAY PAPER

Overlay papers have already been used for some decades as a surface protector in the laminate industry.

However, MB credits itself with the new technology taken from Standard Papers. The application of the corundum during the impregnation process by customer himself actually gives the final product an increase in resistance against abrasion and offers a significant reduction in production costs.

Highly purity, superior transparency and excellent behaviour during the impregnation or in the process of applying corrundum are characteristics that contribute to the success of these papers in floring industry.

In today's market there is a growing demand for overlay paper highly resistant to abrasion. Such products are used in kitchen and office furniture industry, and in some specific kinds of flooring industry.

MB has developed a highly transparent quality Overlay C paper with substance range from 20 to 30 g/sm2 and corundum content of 1% to 6% (applied to one paper side).
