MB Papeles Especiales S.A. is a subsidiary of Miquel y Costas group.

History of Miquel y Costas & Miquel, S.A. goes back as far as the 18th century. In 1879, the MIQUEL Y COSTAS brothers decided to turn their family paper business, wich had been in existence without a break since 1725, into a limited company.

The present company was incorporated in 1929, and the Miquel y Costas Group now consist of 9 companies with overal turnover of over EUR 160 million, all centred on the paper industry and covering everything from marketing to services.

MB Papeles Especiales, S.A. was founded in November 1990 as a producer of special papers with its own line of products.

Today MB is one of the main leading European low grammage filter and absorbent paper manufacturers, introduced and recognized by its quality and service in one of the most demanding and competitive markets in the world.
